Who We Are

AI Prompt Tuner (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a browser extension that helps you refine prompts inside supported AI chat services.

Prompt content and tuning metadata (intensity, provider, conversation IDs) so the extension can return tuned prompts and maintain your tune history.
Extension configuration (mode, intensity, Universal Mode toggle, API base URL, chosen provider, optional API token) stored in Chrome sync/local storage to persist your preferences.
Optional usage analytics events (event name, anonymized client identifier, timestamp, extension version) only if you configure an analytics endpoint; analytics are off by default.

Deliver core functionality: process prompts, return tuned/retuned variants, and display history.
Respect your chosen settings across sessions and devices via Chrome storage.
Provide optional diagnostics and usage insights when you explicitly enable analytics.

If you supply an external AI API key (for example, OpenAI), prompts you choose to tune are sent to that provider under your account and subject to their terms.
We do not sell or rent user data. We share information only with service providers that operate our API infrastructure or when required by law.

Prompt requests and histories stored on api.aiprompttuner.com (or a custom endpoint you configure) are retained only as long as necessary to deliver the service or as configured on that server.
All communication with the extension and backend occurs over HTTPS.
You may request deletion of server-side data or account information by emailing support@aiprompttuner.com.

Universal Mode requests the <all_urls> permission solely to inject the tuner UI on additional AI-oriented sites. Disabling Universal Mode revokes this access.
Optional analytics send only the minimal event payload described above to the endpoint you configure; no analytics data is transmitted unless you enable it.

Adjust or disable the extension via the popup or chrome://extensions.
Use your own API provider token (OpenAI Direct) to avoid sending prompts to our servers.
